May is here, but we aren’t done with our school year just yet. One of our 8th graders, Maialen, was named Saint Augustine’s School Catholic Schools Student of the Year. On Saturday May 5th Maialen was joined by her family as well as the Principal, Sr. Lillian and the Vice Principal, Sr. Johanna as well as the supervisors of the Newark Archdiocese.
They all attended a beautiful concelebrated mass and then enjoined a wonderful breakfast. Everyone watched on as Maialen received this memorable honor that will follow her throughout her lifetime. Congratulations Maialen, we are so proud to have had you as a student for 11 years! Good luck in all you endeavors!
Saint Augustine School congratulates our children who made their First Communion, Saturday, May 19th at the 9 am Mass, at St. Augustine’s Church. Under Sr. Genny’s guidance, the children sang many religious songs, read scriptures and prayers of the faithful, brought many gifts to the alter. After Mass, all retired to our gym to see and hear the children perform songs on our stage. All ate together at the end. It was a beautiful, spiritual and communal day for all.
One of our great traditions is our annual Spring show. It’s filled with dance, art and so much more. Everyone participates.
