Spring has spring, and we are celebrating in style. Our annual Easter Hats and parade are back again this year.
Saint Augustine School was a part of the STEM EXPO April 14, 2018. The 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade showcased their STEM projects along with 30 other Newark Archdiocesan Schools. Our topics were:
Grade 6: The Water of Life
Grade 7: Energy for All
Grade 7: Make Poverty History
Grade 8: Ecophone
Sr. Lillian, Mrs. Damiano, Ms. Augustine and our parents were very proud of our students and their projects.
Students created Biography Boxes for their Biography Book Reports. Students included a timeline of the person’s life, interesting facts, pictures and bonus features such as mazes or word searches. Students interviewed one another and showed off their work.
On Friday, April 20th, 2018-15 Fifteen of our St. Augustine School students were confirmed. The confirmation took place starting at 7:00pm in St. Augustine Church. The children were accompanied by their sponsors as well as their families. The children have prepared for this for months. They are “GOD SMART”! Great job 8th Grade Students!
